Bonding

Cosmetic

A chip, a gap, an edge. Fixed in one visit.

Overview

A small correction, same day

Bonding uses a tooth colored composite to rebuild a chipped edge, close a small gap, or even out a contour. It is conservative, it is usually done in one visit, and in most cases very little tooth is removed.

It is the right answer for small corrections. For larger changes in shape or shade across several teeth, veneers hold their appearance longer, and we will say which category your case falls into.

The composite is shaded against the surrounding tooth, shaped by hand, then polished so the repair does not catch the light differently.

Who it is for

Candidacy is confirmed in person, not online.

  • You have chipped a front tooth.

  • A small gap or uneven edge bothers you when you look at photographs.

  • You want a conservative fix rather than something that involves preparing the tooth.

  • You would like to see what a change in shape looks like before considering anything more involved.

What to expect

The sequence, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Assessment and shade

We check the tooth, agree on the change, and select the composite shade.

  2. 02

    Bonding

The composite is applied, shaped, and cured directly on the tooth.

  3. 03

    Polish and check

The surface is polished and your bite is checked so the repair does not take extra force.
